Infuse the scents of summer in your winter skincare

Enjoy the aromatherapy of lavender, rose or mint this winter while soaking your tired muscles in a warm bath and helping your skin maintain moisture.

Skin easily becomes dry and irritated through the cold season, and a few simple steps will help to prevent dryness from setting in.

Follow this economical beauty bath, redolent with the scents of summer, with a rubdown of pure sesame oil to retain moisture and keep your skin plump and youthful.

How to make an oatmeal herb bath

• Grind up 1 cup (250 mL) whole oatmeal in a coffee grinder or food processor and transfer to a bowl.

• Add ¼ cup (60 mL) of your favourite combo of herbs and/or scented plants, such as lavender, mint, lemon-scented geranium leaves and rose petals.

• Add ¼ cup (60 mL) baking soda.

• Mix all ingredients. You can scatter the loose mixture in the water, or divide in four and place in cotton, hemp or bamboo bath bags to make cleanup easier and prevent slippery tub bottoms.

• After the bath, towel dry and apply a thin layer of sesame oil to skin to seal in the moisture.

• Makes enough for four baths. Can be stored in an airtight container for up to three months.

Sesame therapy

A natural moisturizer, sesame oil in ancient Ayurvedic medicine is believed to help rejuvenate, warm and strengthen the skin tissues. It is also believed to calm the nerves and soothe muscle pain and tension. This is the perfect partner to a relaxing winter bath.

Wow, I wanna try this one.I wanna try and know if just one day after trying some of these great tips, will my skin feel more soothed, smoothed, and moist? Ooh lol. My skin has a parched look caused by its inability to retain moisture. It usually feels "tight" and uncomfortable after washing unless some type of moisturizer or skin cream is applied. Chapping and cracking are signs of my extremely dry, dehydrated skin. Worth trying to get some rev="vote for" title="Gilbert Arenas Had No Gun License, but Could’ve Had a Payday Loan" href="http://personalmoneystore.com/Payday-Loans/ ">payday loans to get a check up for my skin. Thanks for the post.I will try this one.
